President: Scott Morrison
Scott is the Senior Pastor at Georges River Community
Baptist Church (GRCBC).
Scott has managed a number of community initiatives including
Frontside Skate, Christmas Festivals and Christmas Carols.
As part of his pastoral role Scott regularly provides
crisis support and counseling to individuals and families.

Secretary: Glenn Power
Glenn has worked in the health system for the past 20
years and was employed by GRCBC in early 2007 to establish
Georges River Life Care. Glenn has day to day management
responsibility for Georges River Life Care and plays a
key role in planning and developing ideas to expand the
provision of community services throughout the Georges
River Community.

Treasurer: Philip Moore
Phillip trained as an accountant in New Zealand and is
a member of Taxation Institute of Australia. Phillip has
served on Churches of Christ NSW Committees for Aged Care
and their Nursing Home, as well as having worked in a
full time capacity for them for three years. He served
as a trustee of the Churches of Christ Property Trust
for 27 years. Philips responsibilities in this role included
ownership of properties for aged care and licensee of
nursing homes. |

Committee Member: Bronwyn Thornton
Bronwyn currently works in Community Services managing
an Information Service. She has previously worked in Commonwealth
Government as the Regional Manager for Training, and has
held a number of other training and management roles.
Bronwyn has facilitated a number of programs over the
past few years including teams working with children,
adult recovery and women’s support. Bronwyn has
undertaken a number of facilitator training programs and
has a specific interest in parenting. |

Committee Member: Vanessa Wheeler
Vanessa has a range of experience in managing community
based programs including the facilitation of playgroups
and the provision of emergency food services. Vanessa
has also had many years experience working in various
sections of the Health Service as an Occupational Therapist.
Vanessa currently manages a team of Occupational Therapists
and works with the frail aged and younger disabled persons.
Vanessa has also undertaken a number of parenting training
courses and assists with delivering our parenting education
program.

Autism Support Sub-committee Member:
Tonya Agostini
Tonya is currently working as a teacher’s aide for
special needs children having completed qualifications
in Adult Training and Arts. Tonya is currently completing
a Masters Degree at the University of Western Sydney.
Her thesis topic is: Language Development in children
with developmental disabilities. Tonya has assisted in
the facilitation of a range of community services including,
provision of ESL classes, autism carers support group
and play groups. |

Autism Support Sub-committee Member:
Angela Howell
Angela is the mother of two children, one of whom has
special needs. This experience has given Angela and understanding
and empathy with families living with a family member
with a disability. Angela has also been a member of PECA
(Parents Experiencing Children with Autism) an autism
support network since 2005. |
